Spectacular mountain lakes, dramatic gorges, towering peaks, abundant wildlife (including the recently reintroduced chamois) ski slopes and Alpine meadows are all a short drive away. (Tip: if you like the beach but aren't so fond of crowds go to Lago Di Fiastra with its wide sandy beach and few people)
